The pay at all levels is appalling and you ignore this at your peril because as someone who has worked in this field for 40 years I now see the pooest quality of applicant that i have ever seen. Girls who do not have a clear career aim are told by schools to !go into childcare". If this is not addresses in 10 years there will be no quality childcare.
