I really do hope that Ming is elected as leader for a wide range of reasons. Firstly I believe he is the only potential leader that has the true combination of experience and the wisdom that only age can bring. This country neds the leadership of an Elder Statesman rather than a media suited frontman. How can an electorate choose if we end up with cloned Blairs.

Of course, the party must groom younger candidates for high office, but I am a firm believer in the Mentor approach and I would hope that Ming chooses a deputy wiser if elected.
