Sir Menzies Campbell has taken part in a roundtable discussion attended by the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, and the Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, on the issue of the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
Commenting after the meeting Sir Menzies said:
“This was a remarkable opportunity for an exchange of views on a non-partisan basis on one of the most pressing military and foreign policy issues of the time.
“The opportunity for a cross the board reduction of nuclear weapons across the world and the promotion of the cause of non-proliferation has never been greater. The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference in 2010 will be crucial in determining the future progress.â€
