The BBC have uploaded a video of Ming’s complete speech at the Meeting the Challenge conference onto their news site.

Sir Menzies Campbell said the Lib Dems needed to be more ambitious and tackle poverty, in his leadership campaign speech.
He said Britain was “crying out” for a liberal alternative and the party needed an “experienced” leader to deliver it.

Presumably you have put a blog on this site so as to demonstrate that Ming is IT aware and in favour of modern communication techniques. If that is the case then the least you can do is to have Ming post himself and give an undertaking that he will continue with this project after the election. Otherwise it is an exercise in tokenism. This blog also needs to develop beyond a third party news update. Even George W. Bush did better than this!

We started the blog because Ming wanted us to push the envelope in e-campaigning and because he also wanted to have, and continue, a dialogue with the party. So far it’s mainly been a campaign blog (as per Dean’s Blog for America etc. which was also mainly run by the campaign team), and, with Ming incredibly busy both as acting leader as well as a leadership candidate, that will necessarily remain the focus.
That said, I had it confirmed today that Ming will definitely be blogging; although not perhaps in the way you would expect (watch this space) and that he definitely intends to continue with it after the election.
Apologies for the delay in replying by the way – it’s been manic setting everything up from scratch over the last few days – but we should be responding much more quickly in the future.

http://www.campbellcampaign.org/category/blog/feed/ is the one used by Lib Dem Blogs and seems to be working for them. If it doesn’t, I’ll try one of the other formats. Do you have a preference between Atom, RRS 2.0 etc.?
