Commenting on the purchase of Hamilton Hall by the Kohler Company, local Member of Parliament Sir Menzies Campbell said:

“There are few locations in the world more prized by golf fans and I am sure that there will be no shortage of interest from those looking to live there.
“It is important that the treatment of the building reflects the significance of its location and the dignity of the home of golf.â€
