Member of Parliament for North East Fife, Sir Menzies Campbell has given his backing to a bill of “vital importance to Fife”, which could end proposals for ship-to-ship oil transfers in the Firth Of Forth. The bill, which has been introduced by Mark Lazarowicz MP in the House of Commons, outlines tougher regulations for ship-to-ship oil transfers around the UK.

Commenting, Sir Menzies said, “These unregulated ship-to-ship oil transfers in the Firth of Forth pose a huge risk to the environment and to the quality of life of everyone who lives here. This matter is of vital importance to Fife.”
