Blair rushing into Trident decision

Speaking at today’s Prime Minister’s Questions Menzies Campbell called Tony Blair’s decision to renew the Trident nuclear weapon system “hasty”. The Liberal Democrats would cut Britain’s nuclear arsenal by half and kick-start disarmament talks.

Children’s prisons fail to break the cycle of reoffending

Visiting a project which provides training and education opportunities for young offenders and disadvantaged young people, Liberal Democrat Leader Menzies Campbell spoke of the need to radically reduce use of prison for children.
